Thursday, August 9th, 2018Duties will include assisting speakers with setting up their presentations, assisting at the registration desk, and providing assistance to delegates throughout the symposium.
Volunteers will be provided with a complementary registration to the symposium, so will have the opportunity to take part when not working.
Please contact the Spectra symposium coordinator, Ash Tower by Friday 31 August to confirm your interest and availability.

Tuesday, February 13th, 2018The Antarctic Arts Fellowship provides opportunities for people from the creative community to experience Antarctica first hand, and share this with the broader Australian community through their chosen art form. Through a new partnership with the ANAT, Arts Fellows are eligible for financial support of up to $5,000.

Luminosity
Tuesday, February 13th, 2018Luminosity is an opportunity for South Australian artists to produce short, experimental moving-image works that engage with concepts SMART, GREEN, LIVEABLE & CREATIVE as part of the City of Adelaide’s strategic plan. Large-scale, silent projections will screen onto the eastern façade of the Centrepoint building on Rundle Street, Adelaide from 15 January – 23 February 2018.

New Light
Tuesday, February 13th, 2018New Light is an opportunity for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander artists to produce short, experimental moving-image works as part of TARNANTHI: Festival of Contemporary Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Art, celebrating Australia’s rich and diverse Aboriginal cultures. Large-scale, silent projections will screen in high resolution onto the eastern façade of the Target building on Rundle Street, Adelaide from October 2017 – until the first week of January 2018.

2017 Synapse CSIRO Residencies

The successful recipients of ANAT’s inaugural Synapse CSIRO Residencies are:
- Artist Anton Hasell, who will work with Daniel East and the research team in Lab 22 – 3D Printed Structures
- Artist Jiann Hughes, who will work with Xavier Mulet, JJ Richardson and the research team in Metal Organic Frameworks
- Artist James Geurts, who will work with Richard Evans and his research team in Polymer Coatings for Cell Adhesion

2017 Synapse Residency

ANAT is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2017 Synapse Residency.
Artist Baden Pailthorpe and his research partner Aaron Coutts, Professor of Sports and Exercise Science at University of Technology, Sydney.
Drawing on his expertise in atmospheres and spacial media theory, and its application in artistic practice, Baden will work alongside Aaron and his research team to develop a method for quantifying the influence of crowd behaviour on AFL and NFL player performance.
